Wilfried Laule
Wilfried Laule was born near Lake Constance in 1945. He studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1968 to 1970, and, as a master pupil in Professor Thieler's class, at the College of Fine Arts in Berlin from 1970 to 1973. In 1978, his first solo exhibition took place at the legendary "Anderes Ufer" in Berlin. He worked as an art teacher at a grammar school. In 1991, the Schwules Museum in Berlin presented a retrospective, including many large-format paintings. In 1993, he published a volume of photographs about erotic graffiti, "Graffiti für Vespasian." In 2008, his erotic drawings were exhibited at Warsaw Pride. That same year, he moved from Charlottenburg to Neukölln and subsequently participated more frequently in group exhibitions, for example at the Neuköllner Kunstsalon and the Coaching Culture Gallery.
