Mathieu & Leolo

Mathieu was born in Rambouillet, on July 11, 1992, officially known as Bean Day. Léolo was born in Lyon, on September 7, 1996 officially known as Rose Bush Day. Mathieu grew up in the middle of the fields, Léolo in town. They met in 2014 in Paris, where they studied cinema… and fell in love. Léolo continued his studies in film history and philosophy at Paris Diderot University while Mathieu joined la Résidence de la Fémis.Together they founded the HORSCHAMP association and brought together film artists in international arthouse cinema, within the framework of master classes given in Paris and at festivals. This is how they will rub shoulders with Larry Clark, Gaspar Noé, Sebastien Lifshitz, Thomas Vinterberg, Jean-Gabriel Périot, Harmony Korine, Raymond Depardon, Volker Schlondorff or even Wakefield Poole, in parallel with their activities as directors and photographers. Two years later, they created a new part of the association devoted to documentary photography, Capture(s), and then Forme(s), dedicated to contemporary art.
